Administrative Tools for the Smart Grid
In addition to the data mining tools provided in the UtilityIQ Advanced Metering Manager and UtilityIQ Outage Detection applications, Silver Spring provides a collection of management and configuration tools – both software and handheld devices – to simplify and augment control.
UtilityIQ NEM Dashboard Simplicity
The UtilityIQ Network Element Manager provides network monitoring across the full suite of intelligent endpoints and network infrastructure. The application supports device management, network health monitoring, version control, capacity planning, and application control.
The UtilityIQ Firmware Upgrader enables utilities to use UtilityIQ to send over-the-air upgrades to the firmware that runs all Silver Spring devices. For utilities, this upgrade process eliminates truck rolls. For Silver Spring, this capability enables us to increase the functionality of our Communications Modules and network devices.
With the UtilityIQ Meter Program Configurator, utilities can upgrade the Generic Metering Infrastructure (GMI) and native programs on meters, enabling utilities to reprogram and audit meters as needed.
A collection of handheld and laptop tools equip utilities and Silver Spring’s OEM partners with the ability to configure and test Silver Spring Communications Modules, APs, and Bridges.
