Brad Whitcomb Joins Silver Spring Networks Executive Team
Redwood City, CA, June 23, 2009 - Silver Spring Networks, a leading Smart Grid networking solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Brad Whitcomb to the role of Executive Vice President. Brad will be responsible for leading Silver Spring Networks' global customer delivery teams and will report directly to Scott Lang, Chairman, CEO and President of the company.
As Silver Spring Networks continues to expand its client base around the world, Brad will lead the company's customer delivery teams and build upon Silver Spring Networks' reputation for excellence in execution. "Brad brings his proven expertise in domestic and international operations to the outstanding team at Silver Spring Networks, and we're delighted to have him join us," said Scott Lang. "His cross-functional and cross-cultural experience will benefit Silver Spring Networks' clients around the world as they deploy their Smart Grids."
Brad was most recently the VP of Marketing and Customer Innovation at PG&E, where he led the company's demand management programs. Prior to PG&E, he held a variety of senior leadership roles in corporate development, marketing and finance at telecommunications companies including Vodafone, Japan Telecom, and Airtouch Communications.
