Freestyle Technology and Silver Spring Networks Sign Agreement to Provide Next Generation Smart Grid Products

Redwood City, CA, February 11, 2010 - Freestyle Technology and Silver Spring Networks announced today that they have executed an agreement to integrate Freestyle Technology’s open application and distributed microprocessor platform with Silver Spring Networks’ Smart Energy Platform. This agreement will lead to the development of next-generation products to provide a new range of Smart Grid features and services for all utilities and consumers.

Freestyle Technology's open application and distributed microprocessor platform links communications, metering and other sensory systems across transmission, distribution, retail and consumer networks. Silver Spring’s secure, IP-based Smart Energy Platform enables improved connectivity between stakeholders and provides the potential for better distributed monitoring and management including Home Area Networks.
